When I first began to expand my cooking repertoire - many years ago - this was one of the first recipes I made. I remember inviting a couple of friends over to try my hand at a legit 3 course meal and made this as the entree of the meal. I thought it was amazing (and the friends will attest it’s delicious too), and made it many times over for many friends and family.
Maybe it’s not quite so amazing as I once made it out to be, but I still think it’s great for a quick shrimp recipe. I make it from time to time when I want something that’s a “step up” without all the steps to make it.
What you need to make it:
I don’t know if you know this, but Ben & Jerry’s new flavor is kind of a big deal.
And you’ll be able to find it in a glass case of emotion at your local grocery!
Stopped by the last food truck feast of the season in St. Charles this evening. Quite a few new trucks in the mix that I hope are still around next year.
Landed on some de-de-delicious pulled bbq chicken and baked beans from Chris’s Smokehouse (I think?). Good stuff. I had thought they skimped me on the beans, but then there was so much chicken! Totally worth $8.
