theeffingjam replied to your post “can I go back in time and tell myself, if you fuck up your first two…”I actually finished university a couple of years ago. This was me coming to…As someone who straight bombed my first two years of college… it does get better!
I can totally relate to your frustration! I simply wasn’t prepared for college or college life and I started screwing everything up as soon as I got there. I also worked a lot, and partied a lot, and know it was through no fault but my own (though I later learned I have ADHD, which I’m sure played some part).
5 years out of school, I was working for a company I absolutely loved, but I got dead-ended in a position I was clearly over-qualified for due to my math grades from my freshman year and they didn’t want to promote me because of my transcript. Because of some stupid math grade I got when I was freakin 17 years old, they decided I had no analytic skills.
I’m in marketing, so I don’t really know much (ok, nothing) about the science field. Thankfully, there were a lot of others out there that didn’t give a crap about my grades, and though it pained my heart, I eventually left that company.
At some point, experience (regardless of what it is) should trump grades. And hopefully you’ll find the person out there that can see that and give you a chance. Best of luck to you!
I was just thinking that having a normal commute to work in the morning would be totally lame.
I picked these up a while ago… but thanks to eclipsenikkie, I was brave enough to try them with my salad tonight.
I dig it.
When I first began to expand my cooking repertoire - many years ago - this was one of the first recipes I made. I remember inviting a couple of friends over to try my hand at a legit 3 course meal and made this as the entree of the meal. I thought it was amazing (and the friends will attest it’s delicious too), and made it many times over for many friends and family.
Maybe it’s not quite so amazing as I once made it out to be, but I still think it’s great for a quick shrimp recipe. I make it from time to time when I want something that’s a “step up” without all the steps to make it.
What you need to make it:
